The Mondatore family
Passing down family tradition is our mission.
For four generations we have preserved and passed down our family’s agricultural and winemaking tradition.
Through a modern and conscious approach, we produce wines and products that tell the deep connection between our family and this land rich in history and culture.
THE VINEYARDS
From Salento, a modern interpretation of wine
The Brindisi area is historically linked to viticulture, thanks to unique natural conditions. The proximity of the Adriatic Sea and the fertile and generous soils contribute to creating wines with an unmistakable character.
We follow every phase of the process carefully, to reduce at minimum cellar working and bring it back in the glass the pure expression of our terroir.
MARGOTTA
Margotta: stories of unique bonds
Our first wine is born from the love and dedication of our family towards the land that has welcomed us.
Old Negroamaro vines trained with the traditional Apulian bush vine method, aged between 70 and 80 years, give life to our pride: the Negroamaro, the native grape variety of the area.

Margotta
From a single vineyard, a Negramaro vinified in a modern way
Our Margotta aims to be a modern interpretation of Negroamaro, in three versions: red, white, and rosé.
The low yield in the vineyard allows for the production of grapes well-suited for high-quality wines, and the work in the cellar is based on a technical approach, with interventions reduced to the bare minimum to enhance the potential of the grape.
Produced in limited edition, each year the vineyard is parcelled to allocate the harvest for the vinification of each individual product, based on its characteristics.
