A bond that starts from the roots: the Margotta vineyard
From the 22 hectares of vineyards, only 2.5 hectares are selected for Margotta production. These vineyards are particularly valued for their environmental and scenic importance: the trunks, due to their age, often represent true works of art; the buried branches create unique shapes, geometries, and connections due to the ancient propagation technique, Margotta, from which it takes its name.
This technique was used to reinforce vines that had died over time, and today it represents the perseverance and ingenuity of an area where viticulture has always existed.
Where vines would eventually fail, new vines are generated from the nearby plant, maintaining the connection with the mother plant.
The vineyard management is based on an approach that has deep respect for nature, avoiding the use of herbicides and pesticides, and applying treatments according to the principles of integrated agriculture only when truly necessary.
